KCL v Manchester for International Development

Hi all!

I’m an oversees international student who’s coming to the UK for his Master’s.

I’ve got unconditional offers from both Kings College London ( MSc International Development and Emerging Economies ) and University of Manchester ( MSc Global Development ).

Which one should I pick as I’m only focusing on employability and which university+programme will give me more employment opportunities in the UK and globally.

Also, even though I’m willing to explore any employment opportunities, my ultimate goal is to work with the United Nations or any major International NGO / IGO. Also if this knowledge helps, I speak English, Hindi/Urdu, and French.

This is a really important decision for me so any feedback would mean the world. And I need to make a decision very soon. Thank you all in advance!

I actually would prefer KCL, but LSE or the University of Sussex are a better choice for International Development.

But between KCL and Manchester, I would say KCL is the better choice, because London has a lot to offer. Both universities are diverse and at KCL there are a lot of French speaking people, I know.

Thanks Jaume!

Yeah I’ve also applied to LSE as well and but I’m still waiting for a decision from there.

I really hope I make it. Pray for me. 🙏🏻💯

Hey Jaume! Thanks for the care and concern. Much appreciate it.

So the good news is I got an offer from Warwick for MA International Development.

Bad news is that my application with LSE was unsuccessful lol

But no issues. I’m quite happy in accepting the King’s offer for MSc International Development and Emerging Economies. 💯🙏🏻
