Does anybody else not bother with taking their tie off at home after school? Watch

My mum's just had a right strop because I've just accompanied her to do the supermarket shopping and she reckoned I looked scruffy because I had my tie loosened instead of taking it off. She's not bothered about me not changing, but she can't understand why I don't take my tie off like 'normal teenagers'. She's also fed up because my younger sisters have started to do the same.

So, out of all of those who can't be bothered or don't want to change after school, does anybody else choose to just loosen their tie rather than take it off, or am I really abnormal?

Nope I think you're perfectly normal...I rarely take mine off unless I get changed. It's cool to look smart around the house =P

Imo, it's a bit meh if you take your tie off whilst still having your shirt on. It just doesn't look right.

A bit like wearing socks whilst in your underpants...

I never bother taking mine off. I never even bother to loosen it or undo my top button.

Ditto - into loungewear or pyjamas! Even sadder, hehe.
Saying that I haven't worn a tie for about 2 years though!

No - Habit I guess. I just do not think about it really so forget / do not take it off. Our school is very strict about uniform so it has to be done up properly all day anyway.

I never did, but then again I've always been happy and comfortable wearing a shirt and tie, I go out with them on now.

I don't find wearing a tie uncomfortable at all. But I usually get changed within half an hour of coming home and I just leave my tie on til I get changed.
