Bobby Robson had been dismissed from Newcastle only 4 games into the season, becoming the second managerial casualty already. What is going on! Alan Shearer is favourite to replace him, especially as he has said this is his last season. Read more details here:

Just thought I'd mention commiserations to the GB marathon runner, Jon Brown who finished 4th, for the 2nd time in a row.

stop being gay. The judges were wrong hence they got suspended, you TWAT
Where did i say they were right? Yeah they were wrong, but come on, the leader of the marathon was shoved off the track, and they aren't doing anything about it. Oh and read my post before you start insulting, loser.

Think about it this way. If it were the other way around and Paul Hamm got the bronze when he really should have gotten the gold what would the US do? Do you think they would just accept that "that's the way it goes sometimes"???
Of course not! They'd fight for it with everything they've got... so I don't blame the Koreans for doing what they're doing right now.
But didn't the IOC already say they couldn't do anything?

I can sympathise with her for dropping out of the marathon, there was no point running herself into the ground if she could save herself a little for the 10,000m, but I do think she should have completed the 10k, unless her stopping was due to injury, and been a true sportswoman.

Cleveland County Schools **double** Cross Country Champion (1998 & 1999)

Oh, and Southlands 7-a-side league Premiership player of the year 2003 - okay, not a strictly 'running' accolade - but I'm devoid of any real natural technical ability and the only reason I won that was because I just kick it past players and run. And basically just run around like a headless chicken all match (see Dyer, Kieron and Greening, Jonathan for further examples).

EDIT: Not that I seriously expect to win the 1500m Gold though, obviously.

They are no longer dealing with the IOC. They're appealing to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)
Plus, you know I'm right when I say the Americans would have done no less if it were the other way around and Paul Hamm got a bronze when he should have gotten gold!
You would hear no end to the protests and/or threats!

By the way, take a look at this. You are wrong about the Brazilians. They are going to appeal for the marathon, which I think they have every right to do.

I hadnt heard about the brazilians before earlier today, my apologies. I guess the americans probably would do the same, but Paul Hamm was brilliant, and it seems like this is taking away from what he did.
