I wanted to go but as usual all the talk amongst my friends came to nothing.

Might wear my Poland shirt out round Hull this week. On second thoughts better now...probably get beaten up.

Decent man, and an incredible player in his day. As for managerial skills, its difficult to determine. Failed to qualify for Japan and Korea, when it looked almost a dead cert

His profile as a manager was on Football update the other day and he has lost almost as many games as he has won.

    u at uni?

aman, you only want these players to be picked because they're spurs players. despite the fact that spurs are pants, that's a stupid reason to want them to be picked. robinson is very overrated, if he's the supposed saviour of english goalkeeping and david seaman's 'true' successor, then god forbid.

Wrong player - Great One - I'm talking about Mark Hughes, the young Norther Ireland midfielder, (who plays for Spurs ), who will possibly soon be breaking into the first team.

I think he's playing Under-21 football for N.I at the moment?

Of course I support Spurs players at international evel - thats why I want them picked!

Whether they should be picked is another story, but you can see that Defoe should be in the starting line up at least, and King should reamin in the squad, even when the other central defenders return.

As for Robinson, he shouldn't be compared to previous goalkeepers, but be looked at on his own merit. He is England No.2 at the moment, and has been touted as a future England No.1 by critics.

Jesus, you are a dedicated follower of Spurs

I dont actually support N.Ireland because of the exclusive appeal of the team to a certain mob

I support Ireland, who are well on course to achieving world cup qualification

Take it from me, Ireland will top the group (above France)

Duff, Keane (the two Keane's - but especially Robbie) and Andy Reid (almost a spurs player) are going to help us win the world cup ... lol

Well, most fans will say the same about players from their teams at international level too!

And as for Keane (and Reid) - you said it!

    The mob being?

When I watch the news for sport I have no idea why Ireland is considered a 'home' nation.

Not really i can identify huge weaknesses in Ireland's current team , for example, Andy O' (Big Nose) Brien in defence, along with Steven (pork chop) Carr and (Hillary) Clinton Morrison up front

How and ever, Duff is the best left winger in the world, Arjen Robben a close second. Giggs is ssssoooo overrated - can't cross a ball , cant strike a ball , missed an open net against Arsenal, tries to do too much with the ball, usually gives the ball away instead of making a simple incisive pass and has lost some of that dynamite pace that he was so famed for having.

Ireland is not a home nation to anybody, except when beating England in the 6 nations in their own back yard.

And if you lived in N.Ireland and listened to the sectarian chanting in Winsor Park then you might understand why N.Ireland is confined to a certain population.

Lets face it, its hardly the most enticing area to go too... especially after the latest result 3-0 Poland

pakistan , consistently snapping defeat from the jaws of victory . Only against india do they never relax and vice versa , i think they think the stakes are too high .
