Yes, take time to point out every imprecision in my (jocular) argument, because that's what a lawyer would do. Well I have news for you mate - most City lawyers worth their salt are either inebriated, or alternatively, are well on their way to getting inebriated at this juncture in time. Maybe you should follow their lead...

Who knows, at the end of it all, you might even decide to support a decent team!
It's amazing how bitter being inferior can make you!

Indeed, I couldn't agree more! Inferiority (either actual or perceived) can precipitate a certain self-hatred and bitterness. It was this selfsame affliction that drove a certain Romanian in London, into the seedy underworld of Class A narcotics.

On refection though, I don't blame poor Adrian; were I to ever reside in the terminal conundrum that is Stamford Bridge - then I'd, doubtless, be reaching for the nearest crackpipe, too.

So your argument is that Mutu took drugs because he felt inferior? Perhaps in relation to the team as a whole, Chelsea is after all, the greatest club ever, though I'm not sure your argument holds together all that well!

Abusers of Class A drugs generally fall into three distinct groupings:

- Those who while away their time on the Kings Road.
- Those who have little/no job satisfaction
- Those who play for rubbishy football teams

Adrian was guilty on all the above counts, and moreover, the excuse that he gave was a crock of ****! To loosely paraphrase, "I took cocaine to improve my flagging libido" - I have no doubt that Adrian couldn't get it up due to the associated stresses of being a wage-slave at a cruddy London upstart; but there's a little thing called Viagra, which is a) legal and b) probably more suited to those with erectile dysfunctions than cocaine. But then you Chelsey folk aren't famed for your razor sharp wit, just ask Dennis Wise...

And to think, we were unlucky not to come away with a point. I can't wait until the start of next season

We'll be ten times better than this by the start of next season too. Exciting times are ahead for Everton FC. We've turned the corner on the past 15 years
