The funniest thing is that his accent makes him sound like someone out of The Office.

Anyone in particular out of the office, or all of them???

I was thinking Gareth, because they've both got relatively strong West Country accents.

Bayern Munich defender Sammy Kuffour is interesting Newcastle United boss Graeme Souness.
The Ghana international is off contract at the end of this season and has not been offered new terms by Bayern.

Henry. Strange how people forget how prolific he has been for the last year.

People have short term memories..

But I can see why people might vote for Ronaldinho.

We've always said he'd play for England one day. So also look out for McMahon (did anyone watch match of the day?) and Morrison getting involved soon.

And while we're there - we also have the two best 16 year olds in the country - Lee Cattermole and Seb Hines.
You are constantly bigging up your youngsters. I shall expect Middlesbrough to have won the premier league, fa cup, carling cup, champions league, super cup and world club cup within the next five years.
If not, you are wrong.

Wasn't that doing that well earlier this year plus I'd say his game isn't as 'complete' as others. If it was up to me I'd say :
Nedved
Ronaldinho
Gerrard

On another note, this must be the first year without a Real Madrid player being nominated for a while.

Shevchenko scores on average about 20 every season in Serie A, which equates to 30 a season in the Premiership ( I'm not saying he would be guaranteed to get that over here before anyone says anything ).

Henry was brilliant last season, true, but as soon as the going got a bit tough this year he buckled and got whiny. Arsenal need him to be pulling the team along by the neck and he's simply not doing it. Plus he was rubbish for France at Euro 2004.

Ronaldinho on the other hand has been pure class all of this year and plays every game with a huge smile on his face - granted, he can't help that most of the time, don't they have orthodontists in Spain?

Ahhhh.......everybody wants Downing

He won't go anywhere though. We're a stable, none-selling club, so any club wanting to buy him would ned to pay round a bout £10M (even in today's market - we don't need any money remember). That rules Man Utd out. Arsenal are also rather short of cash and you would think would spend what they do have on higher priorities (GK, centre back, etc). Chelsea have probably the only two left wingers better than Downing in the country (aside from Giggs) so they're ruled out. Liverpool is the only realistic option, but I doubt they have about £10M, and even if they did, again, left wing isn't their highest priority.

And there's probably more chance of Charlton getting Ronaldinho than there is a life long Boro fan born ad bred in the town going to the team up the road.
I think you'll find Liverpool are desperate for a replacement for Kewell and they badly need some width. If he goes anywhere I reckon it'll be there.

Southampton probably will go down. I'm not basing that on any big predictions for the rest of the season or anything (because a side can turn a season around in a few games), bu lies on the next three games. They're playing rubbish and they've got 3 hard games coming up. They will be bottom by Christmas and thus relegated come May, as is always the case.

St Helens Rugby League made the final (of this Rugby Union tournament) before losing to Kentz Drifters.

Most entrants are professional 7's rugby teams who specialise in getting all of the non international players together under one banner specifically to go round the world and play 7's.

After just a couple of days practice Saints got through to the Final of one of the biggest 7's tournaments in the world, the Middlesex 7's so easily won by Bradford Bulls a few years ago was by comparison a non event.

Well done to all concerned!
