Yeah but you can get some unexpected results in the FA Cup and I'm wondering when, if at all, Mourinho will play his full strength squads for any of the cup competitions. Will it be 'til the SF in the FA Cup? Never in the League Cup? etc.

ashes only played between aus and england since along time ago after a test series there was no trophies so it was decided that they would burn the bails and the winner of the series would keep the 'ashes'.

they are played every 2 years and the alternate from england to australia every time they r played.

hope that helps!!
HUGE cricket fan!

chelsea really annoy me... yes they should do well, but i don't really think of them as a 'team'... basically they just have unlimited money and the management have picked what is a fantasy team, where's the fun in that? compare that to a team who have been together for years and have only bought in a few players and i think they'll be much more determined to win something like the FA cup because it's whats they've been working towards for ages.... but anyway

What about all this lark about team spirit and various managerial methods which suggest otherwise?

(Original post by lou p lou)

Not quite unlimited, but this is nothing new. Many teams have spent a lot over a longer period of time than Chelsea and yielded practically nothing, others have paid out for more than one not so decent players. Before Roman took over Chelsea, they were still in debt. If it continued the chance to attract Roman to Chelsea could be 'fatal'.

(Original post by lou p lou)
and the management have picked what is a fantasy team
Not yet. Just add Ronaldinho, Gerrard, Shevchenko and Ronaldo to it, and rid of some of the lesser names. But as I understand it, Real Madrid are exactly the same (who are playing rubbish right now). Think about some English clubs going against them in the European competitions such as the Champions League.

(Original post by lou p lou)
where's the fun in that?
It depends. It's not the first time a team have had a lot of luck with the buying power, but it takes more than just a lot of dosh to bring success. How much did Rooney cost and how many goals have he scored for Man Utd?

Bugger.
i expect the mackems to get a result at goodison...mebbe a draw 1-1, then a pasting at stadium of shii, erm, light. 3-0 to everton in a replay.

The mighty TOON ARMY, however, have a potential banana skin in Coventry City....i think wor Peeetah knew the future and got out of coventry before a trip to SJP...
