Germans are very successful people by nature and Euro 2004 will be a big wake up call for them just like the 5-1 defeat to England was in 2001 and they ended up in the world cup final.

And with some talented youth coming up into the team, the future is looking like the past - very successfull.

Phil Babb sliding to put a ball out for a corner, legs akimbo, with one going either side of the post. It would be funny if it wasn't so painful
And Christiano Ronaldo crying after losing tonight made me laugh out loud.

He seems like he's lost it nowadays anyway. He should have quite while he was ahead like Blanc did.

What a performance by Greece! They were 150/1 with ladbrokes at the beginning of the tournament, and i think every1 wrote them off, admitedly including myself. hats off to them though, and the manager! otto was class. greeks looked very organised, and dellas has been superb thruout the whole tournament. definatly man of match tonite imo. organises the defence very well. another interesting fact is that every goal greece scored was important.

vs portugal - 2-1 - won by one goal.
vs spain - 1-1 needed goal for draw.
vs russia - lost 2-1 - even tho they lost, if they hadnt have scored, they wud have been out.
vs france - 1-0. won by 1 goal.
vs Czechs - Won by 1 goal.
Vs Portugal - Won by 1 goal.

The thing is, why did every1 write greece off from the start? looking back at it, they held england to a draw which england scored in the last min from a free kick, and they topped their qualifying group, which included spain! well dun to greece tho!!

didn't know about any 15 year old, but if so, then that would mean Sharapova is the third youngest to win it- Martina Hingis won it when she was 16...

Martina was 17

Winners
Women's singles-Sharapova
Men's singles-Frederer
Men's doubles-Bjorkman and Woodbridge
Women's double-Carla Black and partner
Miced doubles-Carla Black and brother Wayne

Anyone watch the mens junior final? Britain's Kasiri was in it against the juniors number 1. He lost out in 2 tight sets (7-5, 7-6), but played v. well. One for the future. But one who might make it big is his opponent, who has won 3 out of the 4 junior grand slams, with the 4th to come.

I think that we deserved it (we won them twice in their home and we also won France and Czech Rep) but the final should be between us and England because both of the two teams showed character and commitment.

Anyways, everyone s out partying tonight and it s definitely the golden page of greek football.
