Spurs fans tend to fall into two categories, the over-optimist and the "realist". Here are two such realists. May I suggest that you be a bit more optimistic about the Davis signing, he is a very good footballer and a bit of a coup in my opinion.

Yeah right! Spurs might be on a buying spree, and buying some pretty decent players, but Ronaldo is way out of their league.

I never said he wasn't.

It's more about Postiga leaving than anything.

He did say it as if he might do in future and not immediately.

Well you do have Defoe, Kanoute and Keane. Many Premiership teams would envy that strike force.

Yep - it's just I, and lots of other Spurs fans would have thought Postiga would have had a good season.

But at least, they are sorting the midfield out.

so basicaly you have signed a very good English midfielder with a great future

you have sold a striker who only scored 1 goal in England, and clearly wasn't suited to the game, yet you are unhappy

spurs fans

Henry and Bergkamp apparently apparently weren't suited to the English game. They seemed to do okay for themselves.

Postiga is probably more suited to the continental game anyway, though he probably will become world class.

I'm notand I don't know of any either that don't like Keane.

As far as I'm aware, Keane is the crowd favourite.

You mean last season he was the crowd favourite. Yes, I agree.

Where do you get the impression that people don't like Keane then?

Just talking around, people's opinions seem to have changed since the close season. Why this is, I don't know. Possibly something to do with Postiga being sold - Keane was undeniably frustrating at times, people thought Posti would come through and challenge him next season, make him play properly or even displace him, but now he's gone they're fearing another season of Keane being automatically selected, however badly he plays. Bare in mind that when I say "a lot", I by no means mean a majority, just more than previously.

Man Utd have the money to buy Rooney. They are one of the richest clubs in the world. However, they already have Van Nistelrooy, Saha and Smith and anything over £25million is really too much for one player, especially when you don't really need to replace anyone in your squad. Yea, Ferdinand was one hell of a deal but as long as it's Ferdinand and he does his job.....

The only way he will improve now is if he goes to Man Utd. No offence to Everton, but I think he's learned all he can/will there. A move to Chelsea would destroy his career, similarly a move abroad. So that leaves (really) Arsenal and Man Utd - either would further his career so so much and benefit him no end. Arsenal......I doubt very much. I hope for his sake he goes to Man Utd.
