oh...boo hoo. suck it up. once you turn 18 you're legally an adult. Therefore your parents can kick you out whenever they want. Hell, they could have the police escort you out! I suggest you get a job and stop complaining before you REALLY have something to complain about.
yea thats what they threaten! Ive been looking for a part time job ever since i started college (3 years ago) and not one application has been a success, i must be doing something wrong, i feel guilty about not paying rent etc i was gonna move into halls when i started uni but my parents actually persuaded me not to saying id be wasting money when i can live here etc and id only end up an alcholic.(mummy's boy type of thing lol) Sadly i listened to them and they are now saying 'do what you want, go live where you want' i can't understand them.

They might have been too embarassed to tell you. The worst thing a parent can do in their eyes is fail to provide. If they can't afford it, especially if they promised you, they might just be too ashamed to tell you why. Maybe they lashed out at you when they shouldn't have, but it might be a way of dealing with it.
Course, they might just think you're being a little bratty about it. They might have been prepared to spend what they can't really afford before, but if you were assuming you deserved it without putting much in, they may have changed their minds.

Don't be too hard on them. For all you know, it might be a hard time for them. No need to make it harder for them by guilt tripping them.
thanks i know what your saying though i doubt they care that their letting me down (if you knew them you'd understand), they just change their minds randomly and always have! (though i didn't expect it after a massive promise like this) It all depends what frame of mind they are in i suppose one minute they are feeling generous and promise stuff, the next they wondered what they were thinking
I agree with what you say in general terms though

I always have rows with mom over changing her mind after promising me something, but they used to have the money now that you acting like a kid complaining while knowing the fact that they dont have the money anymore she was forced to treat you like a child what eles your mom could do,if you are not capable of understanding the fact that they dont have enough money..I know the disapointment you are feeling right now..but it's just it..my room is small with one small window it's packed like a box my four years younger sister has a room that is about double my room with two extra big windows and our bathroom *hers and mine* is in her room.

By reading your posts its SO easy to say that your spoilt, but i can't judge from just what you say plus i dont think youve done yourself any favours by the way youve said it I take it your not that spoilt since you have to pay your own tuition fees (lots get them paid by LEA and according to posts ive read on here everyone's parents seem to be paying for their tuition ) So you can't be that spoilt if your parents won't pay for you  (neither will mine but a lot of parents do!)

I don't know what your parents are like either but i can understand your dissapointment but if they can't afford it then u should understand and accept it

Aw, you poor thing!

Your parents obviously don't love you and are probably doing it out of spite because they like ruining your life! How dare they check the figures and decide that they can't be spending money on such essential things as double beds when your one right now is fine.
And you obviously are a wonderful child who more than deserves a bigger room, as your room that is bigger than some people's homes is just far too small.

God!
uh so why should he/she feel guilty for wanting a bigger room (with a window ) just cause some people are v v poor?
Ive always thought that most of you are spoilt on this forum anyway with reading stuff like 'parents pay my fees for me' many people our age (expecially students) live off our parents cause its too damn expensive to buy a house
you should think
