Is that so? At Ipswich we have uni of Suffolk as the training provider. Perhaps QA provides training for level 3/4 apprenticeships. I dont believe they do degree level programs.

QA provide level 6 degree apprenticeships too. In fact, it's their bread and butter.

When you say uni of Suffolk's, are they actually the training provider or just QA's partner uni in that area?

In my research I didn't find anything about suffolk-qa partnership.
Uni of Suffolk invested a lot of money (almost £10 million) building the Digitech centre at adastral park (BT) where they train staff and students. It managed by the uni in partnership with BT of course. QA has nothing to do with it. It is a marvelous facility with some of the best tech out there available for training.

Actually, can I ask you where you got the information about QA working with BT from if you don't mind lol?
Cause I never heard anything like that.

Don't want to pour cold water on your parade, but BT use a company called QA to provide their SE apprenticeships.
QA is hopeless. One of the biggest digital apprenticeship providers in the UK and surely the worst. Totally disorganised.
I know from personal experience.

do uno whether barclays are the same? I tried finding out the uni partnered with barclays for bournemouth location but didnt find anything

With big companies very unlikely they use QA. Apprenticeships partnered with QA can be applied through their website. If you can't find it there then the answer is basically no, Barclays is not working with QA.

Sure, I was on the DTS degree apprenticeship run by QA in partnership with the University of Roehampton.
You get to meet everybody on the same program and there were people from BT on it too.

Hmm interesting. I don't think it's that deep even if they somehow related to QA. As QA does not take full responsibility of training.

That's not correct.
QA deliver the training in such a manner that it (supposedly) satisfies the degree requirements of the partner university.

I see. I think that might depend on where one is based as well. At least BT Ipswich doesn't rely on QA.

The assessment center starts of with an induction, where everyone joins the call and get a briefing of what the day will be like. the first activity for me was the group task, you are given 50 minutes to read some content about a scenario (scenarios vary) and after you get 20 mins to discuss it with the other people in your group. my group was 4 people including me. try to stay engaged in the conversation even if you dont know whats going on. at soem point in my conversation i didnt know what they were talking about icl but i just started asking questions and thats what kept me engaged.

the second activity is similar to the group task but its a 1 to 1 with an assessor. you are given some content to read dont remember how log i got i think like 25 mins, then the assessors will begin to ask you questions about the situation. for me i was was given a manager at a cinema and the content was just a bunch of information about the cinemas performance, the assessor was mainly asking questions about how the cinema was performing and what i think could be done to improve, things like that. in this stage icl you cant waffle your way out of this one, actually read and understand the content. if you get a question which you cant answer, ask the assessor to rephrase - happened to me but after he rephrased i was able to answer the question.

the last activity is a 1to1 interview, easiest part, you have someone asking you questions similar to the video interview questions we got at the start of the application process. things like what would you do in this situation, give me an example of you showing resilience etc (make sure you use STAR to answer the questions its really helpful). Honestly, idk about anyone else but the interviewer i got was a nice guy so didnt feel like an interview more like a conversation. try to be yourself dont over do it and act like youre someone your not.

this is what my assessment center was like, i doubt it would be too different but you will definitely get a different scenario, hope it helps

Salaam, I passed the assessment centre and my final interview is this Friday with the technical team. Did you do an final interview? If so, what were the questions like?
