Oxbridge care a lot about supercurricular work, which is basically just content outside of your A levels that is still academically relevant. For humanities, most people will do this through wider reading, which can be a good indicator that you're passionate and capable at your subject. Just make sure that if you're including books in your personal statement, you've demonstrated why it was worth reading. They don't care that you've read it, they care about how well you understood it, and what you learnt from it. I'm not sure about Cambridge, but Oxford particularly like Wolff's Introduction to Political Philosophy, and Acemoglu and Robinson's Why Nations Fail. Even if you're not going for Oxford, it's definitely worth reading these.

It might also be worth looking into essay competitions - even if you don't win, it's a good experience to talk about in your personal statement. If you've done any political activism, that could also be worth mentioning. Let me know if you have any further questions, and good luck with your application!
