Cannot find University to put in education section of UCAS application

Hi. I'm trying to fill in the education section of my UCAS application. I have been to the University of Manchester previously but dropped out. When I try and put this in the Education section, the only thing that appears is the University of Manchester Languages Centre, which is nothing to do with what I studied. What am I supposed to do to fill it in correctly?

Hi @N7aCl,

I'm assuming there is no option below/at the bottom that says 'Institution not found' or something similar. We sometimes have a similar issue on our Application Portal at Oxford Brookes. If there is no such option, I would suggest submitting your UCAS application without the University of Manchester and then, after waiting a few days, send an email to the Admissions Team of the Uni/Unis you have applied to in order to let them know what has happened. They should be able to add a note to your application. I add that you should wait a few days because it will take time for the UCAS application to register on the Unis' record system. I hope this is helpful and best of luck with your applications.

Best wishes,
Daniel

Hi Daniel. Thank you for the reply. I called up UCAS, and the way to get it to input the University of Manchester was to add 2 spaces after the name. Just putting it on here to hopefully help anyone else who has this problem

Hi @N7aCl,

Thanks for the update. That may well help me advise applicants with similar problems in future.
