Yes you would have been informed in January if you were eligible.

So you can't apply if you weren't?

No, sorry.
I've added the link to the courses available to the OP.

To be clear: applications are open from 08:30 to 13:00, and are only open to people who meet the Widening Participation career, applied and were not given an offer in January 2023, and that your grades are at least the typical offer (shown alongside the course on the link in the OP).

Just to clarify those eligible will have been informed in January?

Yes, as I understand it they should have been advised within or alongside their rejection email.

Yes that was my understanding too.Good all clear then.
The August Reconsideration Pool for Cambridge is now open for applications. :woo:

Applications will be open until 13:00 UK time today.

Please see this page for information as to what courses are open to applications, and to apply.

To reiterate the other requirements from post #2, you need to:
Have applied to Cambridge unsuccessfully in 2022/23 for that subject
Be from a Widening Participation background (you will have been told if you are eligible for the Reconsideration Pool in your unusccessful decision email/letter)
Have achieved at least the typical offer conditions for the course you applied for, as stated on the course list linked above

Please note that you will not get a decision immediately, but rather tomorrow afternoon/evening. That means that there is no rush to make a decision immediately when the pool opens. It is a big decision to make, whether to go to the firm choice that you have presumably just got into or to apply again for Cambridge at the last minute. If you do apply and are successful, you will have until 12:00 UK time on Monday to decide whether to take up your offer, so can think carefully about your options over the weekend.
I would add that in previous years decisions have been late mainly after 5 and up to 9.30 plus some will come tomorrow Have your phone charged but once you have applied go celebrate with your friends and enjoy your amazing results.Be very proud of doing so well and getting into your firm.If you do get a Cambridge offer well done but think it over if you are unsure as you have until 12pm Monday morning to accept.Do nothing on UCAS ATM.
looking back i could have applied for this but i also realised cambridge wasn't for me after being rejected. good luck to all who are being reconsidered.

That is a very fair decision to make :yep:

Hopefully you have got into your firm choice and best wishes for going there :h:

I qualified for the August pool but the typical requirements for my subject are A*AA and I got AAA. Am I correct in thinking that due to my grades I can not apply for reconsideration?

Hello - yes, unfortunately you would need to have achieved the typical offer in order to put yourself forward. I'm sorry this may be disappointing, but I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time wherever you end up!

I like to think we got out of the blocks early this year with the instructions :crossedf:

Last year I remember being chaotic

There's a lot of subjects in there this year (are any subjects not??) as well...
Reconsideration Pool applications have now closed!

Good luck if you've applied, but decisions will likely be communicated tomorrow, not today.

DO NOT do anything with UCAS unless instructed to by Cambridge.
