AQA AS level English language

I'm doing A-level English language and my first report for term came back with a D in English. I was wondering as to how I can improve? I've done some wider reading for like more terminology that we didn't learn in class. Anyone got any more advice?

Was reading more widely and learning more terminology your teachers suggestion? Have a look at the responses you teacher has given over the course of the A level and implement them.

I would follow the syllabus and see what the examiner are looking for and practice answering legacy papers. Have a look at the moderators/\Exemplar report and the coursework. Learn how to properly structure an essay, paraphrase, quote check with teacher about Harvard referencing in a bibliography. Learn how to reference books, websites, periodicals, Youtube and do footnotes.
