Results are now out for the EO1

Passed but not high enough up the list to be offered a post. Anyone get anything different?
Does anyone know how many they took through assessment for Phase 5? Don't think there has been any FOI on it yet
All of us who did the EO2 interviews in Dec 22 got the same,

Make sure to email back and ask for your feedback and merit position. It won't come without the request.

I’m not sure when the interviews finished. Mine was on 22nd Feb but I think there were interviews after mine

Mine was 23rd February and I was told interviews were going for 3 weeks but we have no idea how many panels there were

Not yet. But they just finished another batch of interviews

I’d just read that appointments won’t be made from this competition after August 2023. Really confused as to why they kept interviewing. Be interesting to know how many actually made it on to the merit list

No one has been placed yet, soul destroying lol

I haven’t even checked my emails lol. I heard today that the NICS has to cut 20% of staffing because of the budget situation. So we will very much be kept in reserve until they need us. I’ll have to log on after my kid goes to bed and check
Yeah, so I just checked and I got the same email. Basically next week they will send you another email telling where you are on the list and how many they took. It’s good to pass so don’t feel bad about not getting placed. You will more than likely be placed at some point on the 2 year life span of the list. They just work their way down it

Basically the NICS is a complete mess at the moment. For the short period we had ministers, they over committed and over spent trying to win votes, and then they left. Leaving all of the departments with projects they can’t afford, nor complete because they need ministerial sign off or input. It makes more sense for them to have a lot of lists of successful EO1’s they can lift off when they need to, rather than closing it down now then starting a whole new campaign in a year or two when they need staff.

In the bigger picture, there are serious problems within the civil service and mostly because of the lack of an executive, that paired with a Tory government who seem to detest NI and have no appetite to help get it back up and running. We also have other factors like strike action, so in department of health, nursing and medical staff are striking and therefore not engaging with DoH, likewise in department of Education, you have teachers striking and this means teams can simply not do their work. It’s almost impossible without schools and teachers cooperation. I’m sure other departments are a mess too. I know it’s frustrating waiting to be placed, but realistically, this is not a place you would want to work at the moment. Then finally, the embarrassing pay offer means Morale is rock bottom. This is all down to the fall out from brexit and green and orange tribalism politics. The country is a mess, so I suppose it is fitting that the civil service is also a mess
Yes the list ends in august for eo1 and eo2. I am still positive there will be further offers for all grades I seen a FOI today for AO grade and it advised offers would be made soon. Why waste all the resources interviewing 1000s of people across numerous grades they must have something planned. Keep the faith I know it’s hard at the minute with the news headlines

Try working in benefits for DfC with all the vacancies the work just keeps piling up as it's dished out between who's left. Is it any wonder I'm on strike tomorrow. Those on benefits are getting the 1st cost of living payment from today which is about the same as beens offered to workers once all the deductions are taken for the entire year plus others in the NICS only receive the national living wage it's not going to repay the student loan anytime soon.

Completely agree, working in DfC is soul destroying at the minute and very difficult to get out of. The pay rise was a kick in the teeth.

Agree, hard to get motivated was hoping promotion would bring a fresh start
I worked in benefits for 10 years. Yes it is rubbish, but at least there is work to do. I am TPd and have staff below also TPd and we are wondering when we are going to get rid of. There is a tonne of work to do but we aren’t allowed to do it because of the political situation
Was able to get my merit position off hrconnect I'm in the 90s.

Anyone any idea how many eo1 vacancies there are?

Wont be holding my breath on getting placed.
