Was able to get my merit position off hrconnect I'm in the 90s.

Anyone any idea how many eo1 vacancies there are?

Wont be holding my breath on getting placed.

Think on last FOI I seen was around 450 for eo1 vacancies from end of January

I was told I am 005f. I have no idea what that means

Were your merit positions sent out in an email?

So you came 5th and didn’t get placed? That means no one has got placed then. So everyone who passed will have received the same letter basically saying that they have passed but haven’t scored high enough. This is nothing to worry about. Just means that they aren’t placing anyone for now. Coming 5th is excellent btw. If I get a chance tomorrow I will ring and see where I am. The more people who find out their position, then the more we will be able to find out about this campaign. It’s a strange time in the NICS, but it won’t be forever and things can pick up quickly, so don’t be disappointed if you passed. You will get your opportunity eventually

Thank you very much. I completely ripped the framework apart and got as many buzz words in as I could.

Well done to everyone who passed and for those who didn't, you have done well to make it through to interview. Request your feedback.

Yeah NICS barely have money to pay staff wages at the min never mind pay for these positions. But it will happen!

So HRC gave me am update:

In contrast to the majority of other competitions, letter in merit positions denotes phase of interview rather than panel. 005f indicates that I was placed 5th amongst candidates who were interviewed in the 5th phase of interviews.

However...

There are 96 candidates ahead of me for my combinee chosen areas:

43 ahead of me in Area 2
20 ahead of me in Area 5
33 ahead of me in Area 8

So still a long way to go.

I’m more confused now. My email said that I am position 08F and they have placed up to and including 04e.

Assume you came 8th on your batch of interviews so well done, and they have placed 4 people from previous phase before you

Thanks for the update.

I wasn't aware so many still had to be placed from the previous phase. Hopefully things start happening soon, would be frustrating to have passed and the list be done away with and not get placed.
Email from HR 33f. Not placed.

If the competition is closing in August 2023 would it be correct to assume phase 5 is the last phase for the EO1 competition? I scored in the 1700s but was never called for interview so looks like I will miss out.

If there is another round of interviews then based on your number you should more than likely get a call. But it’s hard to say. From reading this site there appears to be an active list for E and a new list with F candidates on it. Meaning they have 2 lists still to exhaust, there could potentially be another 200 or so waiting for placement. It might be a long time before they can place these staff. The message I am hearing is to “make do” with vacancies and cease all TP’s as soon as practicable. Did you apply for any of the other comps? Like the SO or DP ones? They are on the same boat. I’m waiting for SO placement but it hasn’t moved for easily 6 months. Even if the executive is back up and running, this is the budget and the place is a mess.

From what I know interviews for stage f were for merit position 1396 to about 1700 so approximately 300 interviewed. I got my merit position of 114f. If I ever get placed after 33 years in benefits it would be nice to get something else but I've just checked and DfC have 115 vacancies at EO1 in the Belfast area it would just be my luck that they are given priority and take the 1st 115 on the list🤣.Also hearing stories of TPs being ended and post being left vacant and a further departmental review in June. Suppose now we have a budget and 2 years to pay the credit card off they might even use 150million to settle nurses teachers and civil service pay disputes as any extra received through Barnett for pay agreements in England will not be received here as it's going to pay off the debt🤬

The country is a mess, and we have no leader/s.
Having spent some time travelling I really regret settling back in Northern Ireland, it’s just a terrible place

Agreed I have a 40 month plan that involves getting placed clearing debts and then travelling with the help of a career break and an Irish passport 😎 which may or may not end up with a permanent relocation but I need the extra money to make it happen so unfortunately I'm relying on our politicians getting things started 🤬
