Looking up ‘Rossetti OCR A Level Literature’ on Quizlet to get text quotes and critics quotes is sooo helpful as there’s loads, notes on GetRevising (student notes) and literary critics on JSTOR + Google Scholar can help (I do same writer, same exam board so ik that it’s really hard to find resources, I’m just very luck I have a good teacher). Looking at exemplar answers on the OCR website can help you understand key themes. Generally in Rossetti the main things are the depictions of gender, religion, identity, links to AO3/5 and how it compares to your other writer (I do Ibsen). Eg in the poem ‘Song’, the speaker exerts an ambiguous level of agency as she demands the male speaker (inversion of patriarchal power dynamic) yet demands her own self-erasure on her own accord -> ao3 (literary, social or biographical) the contradictory impulses in the Vic era - one being traditional Conservative gender patriarchal ideologies, and the other the radical ‘New Woman’ movement -> AO5 critic Pamela Bickley, Rossetti’s work “resists easy categorisation” -> ao4 (comparative, for me Ibsn) R’s ambiguity is in complete contrast to the play’s radical ending with Nora explicitly slamming shut the door, and asserting her own identity.
Hope this helps
