medicine

Currently I am doing my gcse courses but I aspire to become a doctor in the near future. I am aware of the huge competition in the field of medicine and would like to know how can I stand out from others and make sure that I get into medicine. I would like to know what extra curricular activities I should be doing, work experience, weather I should be doing some sort of wider reading and if I should go to a summer school in year 12 and what my a-levels should be.

Thank you
Be competitive with yours grades, even ppl with the top grades are rejected. to to obtain the max possible grades you can. research your university if hitting UCAT or BMAT ones study now. A top 1% or strong score in these premed tests will clear you into the interview.

work exp is self explanatory, why do you want to be a doctor and how do you know you want to be one?

Have a leadership role in something as it stands out.

If UK doesn't work out look for opportunities in Europe to study. Good luck.
