Wolverhampton uni query

Hi

I’ve been offered a place for foundation year pharmaceutical science with hope to progress onto first year MPharm entry. Just wanted to ask if anyone else has taken a foundation year for pharmacy and how hard it was? To progress onto MPharm I need to achieve an average of 70- 75% in all my modules. And there’s this one module “orientation to pharmaceutical science” which I have to achieve 75% in. The foundation year course is assessed using a range of methods, including exams, written reports, group presentations, essays, and poster presentations. Like is 75 percent hard to achieve, and do the majority of students achieve 75%???

I’m so confused helpp

Hi @ssana.khz,

Many congratulations on securing a place on our BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Science with Foundation Year course! It’s great to see your enthusiasm for progressing onto first-year MPharm course as well 🎉.

In response to your query, the foundation year is generally designed to equip students like yourself with the necessary knowledge and skills for successful progression onto Level 4. This includes a variety of assessment methods to provide opportunities to demonstrate your understanding.

Achieving 75% in all modules, including Orientation to Pharmaceutical Science, may seem daunting but it can be achievable with dedication, hard work, and support from the lecturers 😊. Please do not worry, as the teaching team will provide excellent support, with many students successfully achieving the required grades to progress.

To find out more information on the weighting of the modules you can submit a form to enquire about specific information via our website course page.

I hope this has helped and congratulations once again 🎉

Kind Regards,

To progress and transfer to the MPharm course following the pass of foundation year do you have to go through the interview and selection process as well to get onto the MPharm course and is there a chance you will be rejected? How does the process work please? Thank you!! ☺️
