Fashion design or marketing and management degree?

I just need some advice on a change of career. I intend to go to university as a mature student however I am unsure if I should go with my first passion fashion or if I should study my other interest marketing

I have researched and looked in to graduate jobs and the prospects. My main issue with fashion is I have start learning to sew but most jobs require people to have at least a ba in fashion design. A lot more jobs compared to last year require people to have a degree in business , marketing or management to get an entry position in marketing.

I have found two courses I would love to do .
The first one is fashion buying with design
The second is marketing and management with psychology.

It would be a dream to be a designer or have start my own fashion line. I feel like I need the knowledge of where and how to source suppliers and the CONNECTIONS and potential opportunities fashion school might provide.

If I couldn't go on to be a designer , I feel social media marketing would be the other option, as I love that side of business and I'm a creative person. I feel like a marketing and management degree would help me gain the skills to market ideas and manage a company .
A marketing and management with psychology degree might lead to other opportunities-

last year I was considering speech and language therapy as a career but I already know I would only want to work with kids to teens and I feel like I can be that picky with allied health career and while the money is better in the beginning than a fashion or marketing career im unsure if its a long term career for me and I dont want to be limited. I also have experience working with children and while it wasn't the worse job I've had it , it was a wow I want to be in this career sector.

I have considered a fashion marketing degree but I really want to have a fashion design degree which is with another business subject.
I've seen very few courses like that.

From what I have heard, you don't need degrees to become a designer or marketer. For most jobs in healthcare, you would need a specific degree approved by specific professional bodies. However, I am in neither fields, so I can't comment per se.

Fashion is a cutthroat industry, so even if you have the degree, getting a job is by far easy. Marketing is competitive, but it's not as bad as in fashion.
Personally, I see it being reasonable to do a fashion degree then try to go into marketing if things doesn't work out.

I don't know why marketing degrees suddenly have been a requirement, but if you need the equivalent of a degree in marketing after your degree in fashion, you can do either one of the following:

Do a master's in marketing (they usually accept degrees from any subjects so long you have a high enough grade)

Do a recognised professional qualification in marketing in the country that would be at least level 6 (bachelor's level) from bodies such as CIM, IDM, IPA, etc.
