Ashamed of my area!

I have just been read the Mirror and I am so ashamed by my area. I knew there was loads of people in my area who don't work if they can help it by pretend to be "too ill to work" but I never knew it was as high as 16.5% of the population of my area!

We come 5th in the Uk for this - all I can say is I am gald I don't live 20 mins away in Merthyr....they are 1st in the Uk!

I would doubt that all of those 16.5% are pretending. Unemployment rates like that can't just be down to mass laziness.

I used to live in merthyr (ok not something to proud of maybe :rolleyes:

)

my friend told me about that today. With the new shops and retail park openening up in merthyr that number may go down.

Any Idea if Aberdare was in the List?
