Help! About NHS orthodontic treatments

Hi
I am going to turn 18 a few months later. and my teeth is so bad. :frown:
so I would like to have a brace from NHS. the waiting list is so long now.

I would like to know can I still have free orthodontic treatments under Nhs funds?

i got my braces 2 months ish after i was referred for treatment - braces were placed a month before i turned 18. try to get referred as soon as you can and then you might be able to get them before you turn 18

i get mine at a local orthodontist clinic, you might need some surgery which is why they mentioned the hospital - but orthodontic treatment is not usually offered outside of an orthodontist clinic

Thanks for your replys
I had mine done at the outpatients dental hospital. I had no surgery done. That was though I've of the treatment optioNw but opted without it. Generally is per my knowledge as long as you start it a bit before 18 you get the full course for free providing its to treat the same original and continues IE not stopped started, but there prob is a cut off as how many months before you turn 18 etc
I believe in most cases adults aren't eligible for free orthodontic treatment on the NHS.
