Revision techniques

Hi,

I have started revising for A-Levels by using techniques like flash cards, revision cards, teaching friends, quizzing/being quizzed by friends, etc.

Are there any effective methods that anyone can recommend? As I find teaching and quizzing particularly helpful, but i of course don't have 24 hour access to my friends lol

I should probably add that I am studying:
- Edexcel Political Studies
- OCR Media Studies
- Edexcel Business Studies

blurting may be helpful, where you write out all you know about a topic and then compare it to your notes to see what you are missing out so you know what to focus on
