Could somebody please tell me how to get the 'pie' symbol on microsoft word?

I know you go to insert>symbol>....? I cant find it.

Any help much appreciated.

It's in the basic Greek subset (amongst their lower cases) - or scroll down to it - if you mean "pi" and I haven't misinterpreted you.

....I don't have a basic Greek subset .....only latin?

I mean 'pie' or 'pi' as in circles. eg) Area = 'pie'.r^2

Is there a chance you could copy and paste the symbol onto this thread and I will take it from there (if possible).
