Okk thank you! I did not do too well in S2 so I'm a bit worried it will affect my grades in Math:frown:.

Hello. Yes, To Get an A* u must Get 180/200 from p3 and p4. I got 85 in P3, So i must Get at least 95/100 in p4 to secure the A*, Which is such a hassle and stressful...But P4 is imo easier than p3 so hopefully its duoable. 270 is only for science subjects afaik, Like bio and chem u need 270 for u4,5 and 6. But 180 is only for pure mathematics. I mean tbh, whatever Grade someone Gets in AS, whether A or B, Its Guaranteed to Get a a* If u achieve 180 in Both P3 and P4, Providing u get 480+ in the total/600

Yes I did it today. It's like the easiest paper that I've done. So probably this year's boundary is gonna be high.

Do u remember how many marks for the last part of the last q about the perpendicular velocity?

I think it's 6 marks.

i thought i was easier than other years but still it had its difficulty the question with the absolute and the line, the line intersected only once right?

yes! it said this in the question anyway  even if u solved them opposite signs, u would still end up getting the same answer, because tried both lol. also were u able to understand the dy/dx of the stationary point question? i couldn’t get it into that form

oh thank god because i thought i messed it up,
yes from the previous part i found to stationery points one negative and one positive since it wanted max stationery you transformed the positive point with the equation it gave you
also the test didnt have any questions with the Rcos/sin expressions which i was sad about, and also with the question with the absolute for the last part where the absolute was in the bracket what did you do?

me too! i loved the rcos/sin questions cuz they were so easy! for the last part, im not entirely sure if it’s correct, but i took the absolute value of everything, and wrote the opposite signs of each. obviously im not entirely sure if it’s correct, but i just solved them like that. what about u?

Also what do u think the grade boundaries will be like?

i think i put an absolute in each of the x terms in the equation and solved it, i hope its correct
they will probably be really high and harder to get an a*, the 20 people in my class all found the paper easy, but i hope they are not that high
also will your teacher give you solutions for todays paper?

it’s quite interesting cuz people in my class said they didn’t have time to finish it. they also found it easy but it was too long.
i really really hope they do not raise the grade boundaries too much. i wonder how p4 will be next week (if you’re also taking that). and, not that I know of. we don’t generally go over the solutions unless there are students doing retakes. how about urs??

i finished 30 minutes before which never happens with maths and checked it again
yess i am doing p4 and f2 next week and they are really challenging papers so i hope they go well
same the teachers wont show us the solutionss but i really want to see the mark scheme to see what i have done is correct
im sure u did fine! i hope p4 will be easy next week as it was quite difficult in the jan sessions. while solving the past paper i was stuck on majority of the questions. good luck on f2 and p4! let me know how they go

good luck to you too!
Tf was that chem unit 4 paper. The way it was so different from all the past papers. Even mcqs were weird. I hope the grade boundaries are loww.
