(Original post by AaronCook)I only wrote half a page but I mentioned every process for the carbon so I’m hoping I get the 6 marks

what did u guys say for the abiotic factors for that i had no clue
and also what did u guys say for the narrow capillaries carrying only one red blood cell

i think i said it makes sure they are low blood pressure as the capillaries hve a thin wall but that was a complete guess, maybe the answer is that they go in one direction ??

guys for carbon cycle 6 marker did we have to say explicitly which factors were biotic and abiotic

how much did you guys wrote for the carbon cycle 6 marker, i feel like i said enough but didn’t use all of the space available

like the whole page. i was on pmt the last second before the exam memorising the carbon cycle and it came up. at first I thought I didn't write enough so I started waffling about biotic and abiotic factors that are involved like the suns light making plants take in c02 in the first place and just random stuff

idk but i did talk about that just in case we had to

same i said the same thing for the capillaries section i said they need to reach eevery cell to exchange materials

bro i was like so the red blood cells don't get damaged and so they get enough oxygen. literally random guess I did that question last

Abiotic i talked abt decomposers and how they breakdown non-living animals and release CO2 via respiration

I talked abt the concentration gradient being greater so diffusion has a higher rate but some of the other ppl in my class referenced to diff stuff so

the way that crossed my mind but I didn't write it. i think you're right I hope u get the marks

yeah i feel u. i was literally staring at it until the last 5 minutes hoping something would pop into my head. but nothing. so I wrote some random answer. hopefully we get like 1 mark for participating

I don’t know if your talking about this one. But co2 was produced which is acidic so lowered the ph

I think the exam went quite well the six markers were good imo. But ik some people didn’t like the paper too much. What did people get for the inverse square law question i got 0.0016

i also got that obvisouly put in standard form

ahh yes i talked about that but then i was bare sceptical so i also mentioned how like fossile fuels also realse co2

Original post by robert6668)i thought it said ''each lung contains 280 million alveoli, SA for every 1 million alveoli is 0.25 m^2. What is total SA of alveoli in human body?" Isn't the answer 280 x 2 (2lungs) x 0.25 = 140 m^2? Since it's asking for the SA in human body which means both lungs

nah it said 1 lung

Yes that's what it said. I also got 70 million but wrote it as in, '70 million' so not sure if I would get the mark.

I said it is less likely they might group together or move side by side so a greater surface of each RBC will be exposed to the alveolus wall so will increase rate of diffusion of oxygen in and carbon dioxide out would that be right ???

what did everyone put for the question on the second page that was like “which part of the stream has a higher biodiversity?” I think the answer was the middle one because of equal levels of nitrates and oxygen but I put E because it had the highest level of oxygen so more organisms could respire

I put E due to highest oxygen concentration. I didn't see anything about nitrates..?
