I'm sure many of us have tracked Ivan's story on the BBC news website.

Sadly he died yesterday.

Its a real shame, he was such a brave man, his articles on the BBC website always made interesting reading, it must have been so hard for him.

I made a point of reading his diary regularly. He was a special person and he will be sorely missed by many.

He was so brave, espessially to write up his experiances on the web site. Just reading some of the comments on the site makes you realise how one person can touch so many lives.

Yeah... I didn't read his diaries much but when I did they were very interesting, and sad. It's that feeling you get when something unexpected like this happens... you knew it could happen all along but think that just because he's reporting on it and everyone reads it is behind him it can't possibly happen.

Oh well, its a shame but hardly a shock, it was like his second remission. Still at least he got to see the birth of his baby daughter.
