UK upland/lowland areas and key river systems
Coastal processes: weathering
Influence of geological structure and rock type on landscapes
Coastal processes: weathering

i think those r things that have never come up so some of them will maybe be in the paper

bro most of your predictions were somewhat accurate, im asking you from now on 😂

i forgot the full question but werent u supposed to say what happened at each plate margin (+ reasons why eg, magma rises because its buoyant and plates move due to convection currents within the mantle.etc.) then at the end in conclusion youd say either earthquaqes or volcanoes are formed along the plate margin but in some cases both occur( destructive+constructive)

easy dubs

I completed the tectonics 9 marker including a case study on the Nepal earthquake, going through how earthquakes and volcanoes are formed at the different boundaries. However, I didn’t specifically say that I was writing that in response to the diagram, so technically I didn’t refer to the figure. Will I be capped for that?

i think you could lose a mark or so but you only had to say 'as shown by figure 6 '
also how did you include the case study in this question?

That’s why I’m so annoyed, forgetting 3 words because I left the question till last and was in a rush could cause me to get capped. I included it by saying that the earthquake was caused by a destructive boundary, and a sudden release of tension between the plates that became stuck resulted in a 7.8 magnitude earthquake.

*dont worry the quality of your answer will perhaps give you more marks. they are looking for you to be initiative (being in the thoughtful band) to get the high marks
i revised all the case studies but the questions irked me and i just forgot
-i could have included malaysia as a case study for the tropical rainforessts but i forgot-i was in a rush
also lyme regis and banbury case study for the flood managment+ hard engineering

Thank you, I hope you’re right, I was worried that they would limit me to a band one for not being specific in referring to the example. You’ve made me feel better either way, so I hope I can forget about it now.
Don’t worry about the other examples, I didn’t include them either, as long as you’ve talked about the schemes you can still get full marks for 6 mark questions.

What was the question but alos yes bc it said use ur own understanding

smth along the lines of suggest how earthquakes and volcanoes form on the plate margins shown on the figure
+ thats what i thought but at the same time i think it would say "use your own knowledge" (AO1) for that one bc understanding would be AO2 surely???

dont stress about it! i skipped 6 marks worth of questions in my mocks (bad time management), and I managed to get an 8. you still have paper 2 and 3 to redeem it if you don't feel the rest of the test went well
