Just to update the thread, my UKSV status changed to completed this morning, so took 5 weeks and 6 days 😀. Just waiting to see if I get an email PDF.


Hi hope you dont mind me asking my CTC completed around the same time as you it also was for 5 weeks and 6 days. Did you manage to receive the PDF email. I'm still waiting but nothing. Tried to chase it up but I got conflicting information

I got mine emailed to me on Tuesday. The portal changed to completed on Monday, and I got the PDF the next day, so you should definitely have had it. Maybe check your junk folder.

I have passed all checks, haven't received a pdf but I've had a meeting and agreed my start date
I am on week 9 - anyone else had a longer wait?

Mine changed to Completed on Tuesday. Been constantly checking since then but nothing. I contacted a few emails addresses I had to chase it but was told conflicting information ie my checks are still ongoing and it could take another 12 weeks even though the portal says completed. Which on UKSV portal clarifys completed as:

Completed - all required checks have been completed and a vetting decision has been made. Contact your Sponsor for further details.

Can I ask how long you waited between the portal changing to completed and being contacted to negotiate start date.

I have a holiday booked for August and I would hate to miss their call whilst i am away

Is yours for the Home Office by any chance? If so try emailing [email protected] That's the email address on my clearance letter

Yes it's with the home office. I sent an email to the above address yesterday and they replied back this afternoon to say as the checks are carried out by an external provider they can't provide me with the progress on clearance or give a timescale of how long this would take.

Another department I contacted said to wait another 12 weeks. On the guidance on UKSV it says to contact my sponsor regarding my ctc but honestly I don't know who they are as I had limited information since accepting the offer.

I received an email within a week of the portal updating, but I'd been in contact with the team in the latter stages of waiting for the CTC to be completed. I was away at the time so organised a Teams meeting for a time that was convenient for both of us.

Has anyone had to submit additional information once the check showed as completed?

If so, is this going to be another waiting game for me or will the turn around be quicker?

Yep. Luckily I could start my job without it being completed but there are some areas where i cant go without an escort.

For the CTC check do they actually email all of your employers from the last 5 yrs or only the recent ones?

They will email your employers for your references

If your employers don't get back to them they check with HRMC to verify you really worked there and also paid your tax.
