I haven’t got one yet. I’ve been checking my emails and the spreadsheet all day 😭😭 I’m so nervous about it because I’ve seen people who have got better grades than me be rejected from other colleges so I’m super stressed. Hopefully we hear back soon (and hopefully it’s positive news)

yeah hopefully!! we have the same grades i think I saw ur application on the spreadsheet - I mean its the only other one for law at caius sooooo.. relatable tho I've been checking the spreadsheet sm its acc getting bad I need to stop

I'm literally ******** myself. I've done the one singular sample paper available on the website, and nothing else... there's so little resources. What about you?

the test is basically the ELAT without the name, so just have a look at old ELAT papers, there’s loads, all the way to like 2008 i think. i’ve done a couple of papers but i’m trying to not burn myself out too much. right now i’m just focusing on planning the answer and coming up with a thesis quickly rather than writing full timed essays. how you feeling about the interview?

Nope, haven't heard back from them since the survey they sent

So sorry to hear - wishing you the best. What college and what were your stats? Currently waiting for a HSPS interview too.

at Trinity, I have international stats, but converted to uk curriculum I had all A+ basically, lots of reading and extracurriculars. I was really surprised they rejected me however I hope you will get and interview at least.
I just want to say to the people who did not make it to Cambridge that it may be true that going to Cambridge is a good step for your future career and aspirations, however it cannot determine how successful you are in the end. Always remember, it is a step not an outcome.
I got an invitation for PBS at Queens' last Sat. Has anyone else received an invite for that college or subject?

Does anyone know how/where we write our answer for the english test? Do we write it in the Moodle programme or on a separate Word doc or what? x

I'd like to know too, haha

Ah, thanks! I'm so nervous about the interview too, but I'm going to focus on the test first then start prepping for the interview

The University of Cambridge 2024 Entry Thread

Cambridge.jpg
For Cambridge applicants applying in 2023 for 2024 entry, and 2025 deferred entry.

Parents, you are free to comment on this thread to provide words of encouragement and guidance to the applicants, but you also have your own thread for parental debates -> https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=6325348

Here are a few suggested opening questions, but ask whatever you want regarding Cambridge.

1) What A Levels are you doing (or other eligible qualifications)?
2) What course at Cambridge do you have your eyes on? And why?
3) What grades did you get/are you predicted to get at GCSE?
4) Why Cambridge specifically? and why not Oxford?
5) Which admissions tests do you have to sit, and when will you start preparing for them?
6) What are you doing to help your studies and potentially your application to Cambridge?
7) What do you want to do with your degree from Cambridge?
8) Have you decided which college you're applying to?

NOTE: It is better to post on this thread with your username rather than anonymous, as it makes it easier for contributors to provide guidance to help you through your journey.

1) Achieved 4A*'s in Psychology, Religious Studies, Law and Welsh Baccalaureate in Summer 2023
2) Psychological and Behavioural Sciences - I've really enjoyed psych at A-Level (despite not having the best teachers lol) and the subject is ridiculously interesting
3) 11A*'s, 2A's
4) Prettier campus, closer to home and better for STEM subjects
5) I'm quite lucky that I don't have an admissions test - only an interview. My interview is on 12th December (same day as my driving test...) and I've been preparing for about two weeks now
6) I'm taking a gap year so I'd like to get a bit more real world experience before starting my university course. Preferably abroad so I can show that my skills are transferable in other countries with potential language barriers
7) I'd like to end up managing my own clinical psychology firm, or work as a first responder
8) I've applied to Clare and I received my interview offer today
