could we be asked about evaluation of employment tribunals?

employment tribunals should only come up as an 8 marker potentially

Reply 21

to narrow it down i would say prioritise mental capacity defences, genreal defences, loss of control and involuntary manslaughter. murder comes up quite a bit and offences against property have been asked alot recently. as for essays defo prioritise the topics that have never been examined: intoxication and NFOAP

Does anyone have any predictions for the scenario questions? Bc i'm struggling to revise and i really need to narrow it down to what is likely to come up

I’ve only revised consent for essay and just enough for if it came up for another topic. Our teacher said consent wouldn’t come up on its own oh dear, hope it doesn’t. yeah realistically hoping for a murder and loss of control section, that would be soooo good. yeah i feel like legal system is unpredictable tbh, it could be anything

hmmm in the past it doesn’t look like the AS papers have overlapped with the A-level topics. i really thought employment tribunal would have come up for us

i havent revised consent as an essay topic purely because its unlikely they will ask it, my teacher didnt even bother teaching it to us because she thinks its so unlikely, ive revised it for AO1 though. murder and LofC would be amazing i agree, honestly i really like insanity and automatism i would be blessed if that came up.
Legal system is so unpredictable but im definitely going to make sure i know employment tribunals well in case it does come up.

yeah feel like essay is for sure going to be intoxication or NFO. same I like insanity and automatism. do you reckon they would come up as separate 20 markers or in one 20 marker. yeah I just hope that one of the 12 markers are about disadvantage and advantages of something

omd i hate employment tribunal 😭 i think it's possible we will get a 12 mark on judges (either evaluation of judiciary or separation of powers) seeing as on last years 12 markers they had both juries and civil courts

Reply 25

apparently on the AS ocr law paper the 8 marker was on employment tribunals. i don't know if this means it's more or less likely to be on the A level paper?

yeah i don’t think you can get a 12 makers on magistrates. you can on mags court. magistrates questions should only be 8 marker on role, selection process and qualification

heyyyy how is everyone feeling about the upcoming exam? share any predictions on what you think will come up below
Personally i think the essay will be either intoxication or NFOAP and the scenarios are anyones game but i feel mental capacity defences might come up as well as loss of control or general defences as they have never been asked as AO2 only as evaluation.

our college paid for some like hodder ocr classes and the guy who did it is has got something to do with the examiners ans he predicted non fatals for the essay thing so i hope it is

Should i bother learning self-defence if it came up on last years paper? OCR Law

for a question on judiciary would the question be how does the judiciary remain independent or would it be advantages of judicial independence?

Reply 39

i think it would be disadvantages and/or advantages of the judicial independence.
