I did tempest and streetcar/malfi

Tempest-
Gonzalo extract question was not it but I just rambled about his plans for being king but how these plans were only the beginning (he low-key sounded like a communist)
Essay-that question ate it was so vague that I could talk about anything. Did prospero rule in Milan, treatment of Ariel and caliban and Miranda and Ferdinand
Streetcar-I did the outsiders question which seemed pretty popular in my school. Did female characters talking about why they’re an outsider, male characters and how they’re the reason the women become outsiders, the endings of both plays (they die).

I think the exam went really well those questions were quite decent.

I really enjoyed paper 1 in particular I did Duffy and Larkin and then Blake. In the comparison for D&L I chose the question about the past and chose to talk about how the poets present 'past' relationships. Blake question was fine too, although was hoping for something more along the lines of exploitation, rather than nature. I had practiced for this though so it was fine! Paper 2 was okay too! Loved the Malfi and Streetcar question about outsiders, i spoke about the treatment of outsiders ( Blanche and the Duchess) and the detrimental impact of such treatment as seemed fitting as the question mentioned the 'plight of the outsiders' or something. Tempest was also fine! So hopefully all goes well in paper 3  good luck!!!

Does anyone do paradise lost? I thought the extract was horrific and the question wasn’t particularly nice! The essay question was okay but very very narrow
On the other hand, the Plath and hughes questions were really good. Usually there’s only really bad question but both were accessible this year and I chose the second question so I could do Daddy/Lovesong and November/Wuthering heights lol

This is a year later, but I also do paradise lost and plath and hughes! I think this year they were quite generous with the paper, although the extract question threw me off somewhat as it was unusually phrased: How does Milton use poetic dvices, but the 40 marker was all about blame which I thought was a lot better than expected. For Plath and Hughes they asked about the ppresentation of everday life, and the other option was on the poets obsession with power, which I did Lovesong/ morning song for the power of the individual/ power struggles, and I did the power of nature for wind and spinster, and the effect they have on domesticity and romantic relationships! How did you do in your exam last year?
