Yeah I got it online within a week? Have u called up the dbs company? Then I got a copy home after aswell but my dbs was the fist thing to be approved
Thanks will call them
Are you guys enjoying the course? I really don't like it tbh so far..I know it's only been 2 days but I find lectures not content heavy enough and seminars mostly useless, really not enjoying those 3 hour long slogs. Probably should've done schools direct.
I couldn’t start as i didn’t get my CRB on time and i was told to attend which i refused because i won’t get my child care though SFE so i’m home going to my work .

Hey yeah I know how you feel, its super slow And partly super unorganised and disorientated but at the same time feel the tutors are super helpful and they do all seem to want to help you success etc. Just wish we knew more about placements tbh
To be honest i don’t know where i stand and i regret leaving my job for this course

Give it a few weeks and see whether your opinions have changed

What it is that you're not sure about?

Some lecturers are good I agree, others ... I guess I was shocked at the quality of seminars, I've had better seminar leaders at undergrad who were students themselves (different uni, not goldsmiths). There is also too much preachiness going on...'cultural capital in maths' WHAT? as a poc I've never thought of maths as inaccessible due to my race, it's not a very white subject, it's neutral. They wanna be sjw about everything and it gets in the way of learning more interesting and useful things for the job. This week's been better than last as I'm finally on the VLE so I can do the reading and not be as confused.

Oh no! Did you start late? I thought you said you wouldn't be joining. I've come to accept that I chose goldsmiths and all paths led here because I was meant to be here. I also had regret about turning down another offer where I would have fit in more but it's no use, was meant to be this way

My CRB was pending then it’s was accepted however i forgot to mention about a driving disqualification in 2010 now i have to go through a CDAP form and i cannot start until it’s completed and they don’t know how long it’s will take !!

No one can help and the teachers did say i can attend however i won’t be getting SF so it’s will cost me
more in terms of childcare .

So i don’t think i’ll go back and it’s due to so many lack of communication from them , it’s a shame
Aww I’m sure you’ll do great!
I’m doing 5-11 with maths specialism 😂
If you need any tips for you interview lemme know

Not sure i’ll still get a reply on this but if you have any interview tips or general advice for goldsmiths it would be greatly appreciated!!
