Physician associate apprenticeship

I'm just coming to the end of my degree in Biochemistry (integrated masters) and I'm interested in becoming a physician associate. From what I can gather, funding seems to be a major issue with postgrad PA courses and I don't think it would be possible for me to fund this myself. I have seen that it is possible to do a PA apprenticeship, however I can find incredibly limited detail on this. Has anyone successfully managed to get a PA apprenticeship and if so, how did you do it?

I want to apply for the PA apprenticeship too, but can't find any info:/ I tried emailing QMUL on the email shown on their PA apprenticeship website but they haven't replied.

Hi, have you managed to get a reply yet? I'm on the same boat as OP and I just sent an email myself.

Apprenticeships are generally provided with the support of an employer and funding from health education england. My understanding is that unless you are employed within healthcare such as the NHS who can put in a expression of interest in to put you forward for an apprenticeship, you're best bet would be to look on the NHS jobs website to find an employer who is looking and willing to take on a PA apprentice and go through it that way. PA funding has only just come in within the last few months and some of the process of how it will be work is still being figured out. A university wouldn't be able to find you an employer.

I am doing the PA masters in Jan. I am currently employed by an NHS trust and I asked them about the apprenticeship, they said that the funding is limited and it will probably take a few years to be widely available.
