No, Plus can you find out early enough to still have an abortion?

I'd have a termination.

It's a shame they can't tell you if the baby's going to be ginger :frown:
how far along am i in my pregnancy?

No I would not abort. I have had to face this situation twice before when I was pregnant due to family history of downs. I chose not to take the test because it really wouldnt matter to me if my child were to be born with downs. Ultimately they would be my son/daughter and I would love them unconditionally.

I'd do nothing.
I don't agree with abortion at all. Add to that that in the grand scheme of things, Down's Syndrome is a fairly minor thing, and I wonder why people WOULD say abort even if they did agree with abortion.
Similarly, the test isn't always accurate. Doctors thought my youngest brother may have had Down's - he was born perfectly healthy.

I'd say keep... but if I was in that situation I might change my mind.
No.

they can tell you early enough to still be able to have an abortion.

Is this spinning off the bbc story a few days ago. I thought it was ridiculous the number of people that kept the baby just because they didn't believe the doctors when they said it had downs.
(I think it was 1/4 but dont quote me on that.)

And if i was a women i think i could, whether i would depended on my situation! ie the amount of benefits i would get! jokes
I would not unless I was not ready for a child or was raped. The same as any other abortion I would consider.

there are far worse hereditary diseases which would make life such a misery to not be worth living but downs is not one of those

no way in hell would I .

Depends on the rate of accuracy of the test, and my financial/life state then (I don't live in a welfare state). If I was scraping by on minimum wage for 12 hours a day it would be extremely unlikely that I could keep any foetus at all, much less one with Down's. I think emotions will change when one is actually in the situation rather than just an outsider.
nope never, they're just as loveable.
i'd make sure i made plenty of time for him/her and gave him/her the extra attention that they needed!
i'd have an abortion...
you can have an abortion at any time if the kid's disabled right?

i wouldnt leave it for ages tho...
If I knew in advance that my child didn't know the difference between "your" and "you're", I'd abort.
Yes I would. I've always said that I'd want to have all the tests done, and would terminate if anything abnormal came up. I don't want kids, at all, ever, but if it happened, the only way I'd ever consider keeping it, would be if it was able-bodied/all fingers-all toes etc etc.
Hypothetically I would, it would be a strain on society, me and itself.
