Opinions on Wroclaw Medical University (English division) in Poland

Hi everyone! I recently got admission into the English division of WMU however, I have heard a lot of people saying things like they intentionally fail foreign students, their exam pass rates are really low cuz the exams are so hard, they're really strict about attendance, profs cant speak good English and give preference to Polish students, etc. Is it true?

It would be really helpful if a current med student could talk about their experiences here.

hii yes I'm currently studying here  honestly most of the concerns I had above thankfully aren't true...sure most professor's english isn't the best but they try their hardest. Attendance is really important and you can miss upto 3 classes each subject but u need a sicknote for each one. It is true that polish student get more opportunities but thats a given because of the language barrier. Otherwise it's really nice and I think the best part is how helpful our seniors are ^^ As for the interview there wasn't one...you just submit you application with your grades and wait for an acceptance.

Thanks a lot for replying, its great to know you're doing well! I got mistaken bw WMU and wroclaw uni of environmental and life sciences, thats the one i applied to and im supposed to give an interview for the veterinary program. PLEASE PLEASE do offer any tips from your side or anybody you know from the same course🙏 Also could you advice me if the better intake would be June- July 16th or July-Aug. They will accept the best students from each intake from rankings based on grades and interview. I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE ANY TIPS

My son is in the English division about to enter fourth year at Wroclaw. No idea if the Polish students get better opportunities but we've absolutely no complaints. Some of the instructors' accents are a little tricky to understand but they have teachers who really care. The ones who've been failed were no surprise. As a parent with experience of different universities I can't praise Wroclaw highly enough. The exams are very frequent plus there are tests, and they aren't easy-easy and they are definitely strict about attendance but we've never found that a problem. I'd recommend this university every day of the week

Hi, glad to know that. Where are most of international students do their rotation? And their medical residency? In Poland itself? Is it easy for them to go in UK or Ireland to do it? 🙏

Hi, guys, I am from the UK and doing my a levels. I am looking to apply to Wroclaw University for dentistry but I don't know if I should as I can't find out the pass percentage for international students and after coming back to uk is it challenging to find a job in the dentistry and is the teaching system too different to the UK and how are examination conducted as in is it semester wise or something else .Is it really hard to pass exam. And will the lectures treat differently for international students. please help me as i want to make decision fast.
