To some extent, but overall yes  However, the weirdness has began to creep back in again in regards to hiding stuff in my food. That means I will probably have to have another conversation!!!

You really don't need this constant headache. Have that convo and maybe suggest that you have your share of the budget and you can buy your healthy options with it. Do you think that might work? I don't like what is happening here to you.

I am a very healthy person, normal weight, exercise frequently.

I am forced to eat processed food and my parents hide foods I do not like in my meal so then I have to eat it as it is my meal and I will have nothing else to eat.

What do I do? For example, I keep being given white bread and do not want this

Thanks in advance for your reply

I know I am a bit late to reply, but THANK GOD someone is in the same situation as me 😭
My mum always forces me to eat white bread, white rice, full-fat yoghurt, sweets etc, when I am extremely dedicated to eating nutritious foods and healthy. It really upsets me and I always end up getting into massive arguments with her because she won't let me eat well. She even has completely banned me from going to the gym, and I'm not even allowed to work out at home! It is so infuriating that she is basically forcing me to become 'fatter', when literally every single other parent is the exact opposite of my mum, and they would PRAISE their child if they ate healthy and exercised like I do / want to. It's maddening that our parents have to be so illogical.

This sounds bizarre! Would you know of any cause which makes her act like this?

Why do parents do that? It makes no sense to me.

It's because my mum thinks if I care about my health, I would be wasting my time and won't have enough 'brain space' left for studying 🙄😭

That is absolute rubbish thinking. If you are well fed and healthy this would help you study better. Tell her taht.

I agree, I know that. I've told her that many, many times. I've been gone to the doctors with her so the doctor can tell her that themself. She doesn't care or even try to change her opinion though. At least I'm legally an adult and can make my own decisions in only 1.5 years :h:

And if you succeed in eating what you actually want to eat, your parents will control you in other aspects of your life. It is disgusting
