I chose Law Q2.
Give it time. I'm sure the process takes a while: a person on another thread claims to have received the email almost half an hour before me.

I went to the official website to double-check that I was shortlisted I just don't wanna be the only shortlisted student who didn't received the invitation.

Hi, I got shortlisted for philosophy. Are we sure the prices are for the candidates? It seems pretty unfair that we worked really hard to get to this stage and then have to pay £300-400.

Yeah, mine says “selected as a finalist” too. I’m not sure if that means prizewinner status or commendations though. :smile:

I’ve also received the invitation. However I only booked dinner on the Friday, and the awards and gala on the saturday as it’s so expensive.

I got shortlisted and therefore invited to Oxford for the awards etc, but it's highly likely that I won't be going, just because it's unaffordable for myself and my family. I know that it isn't the intention of those running it to price some people out of being able to go (at least I hope it isn't) - the costs of hosting the event are probably high too and high prices to attend reflect their costs - but (at least to my knowledge, so correct me if I'm wrong) there isn't any financial support on offer to help cover the costs for people who want to go, which I find surprising.

Friday dinner isn't the awards ceremony. Also it's 70 pounds not dollars. The ceremony is 285 pounds which is understandably unaffordable for everyone
