Wow.. A lot happened whilst at work and sleeping xD. To answer everything, I understand that there are a lot of good free resources for Maths and Sciences. However, the benefit of having one website is that there is less distractions and also I know what I'm getting with the product. Furthermore, my sixth form that I will be attending is one of the best in the country. However, I really need these A* so I'm willing to put the money since i can fund it. Just want to quickly mention though after having a look at Tailored Tutors, I will buy Tailored Tutors for Maths and Chemistry then Just Physics with UpLearn. The reason is that the courses that Tailored Tutors better fits the way I learn and it is really easy to just get on with the work (Which is the main problem I have with free resources. They seem to take so much energy just to start revising and the way that some of the online teachers teach makes me zone out then I end up playing a game or something which is counter-productive. The only YT maths teacher that hasn't left me uninterested so far is The GCSE Maths Tutor. However, as inferred by the name they don't really do A-Level Content). But, I will wait until I get my GCSE results back before I invest in anything first since I'm currently just scouting out revision and learning resources before I begin my A-Levels.

LOL, Tailored tutors? I’ve never heard of that one. How does it differ to Uplearn? Is it expensive?

You’ll have to let me know how physics is with Uplearn as that’s something I’m also considering.

I’d like to study mechanical engineering and the physics would certainly help, although my Uni-offer said a good maths grade would be more than fine to be accepted. Probably the only perk of being a mature adult learner lol oh and my previous experience as a civil engineer.

Yes it is very expensive but I was having a look at the website and resources through the trial and it seems better for me than the uplearn courses due to how the videos are made. Also, their trust pilot reviews are 4.9 Stars and I have heard them mentioned a couple times. Besides the point, Physics OCR A on Uplearn is amazing and has no animated videos but is taught so well and interestingly using objects

Tailored tutors does look good, but it is expensive particularly if they one cover one of your subjects.

I really liked The GCSE Maths Tutor too - he does have an A level series on pure maths which is probably worth a look over summer.

It is good you are planning ahead, but I will say again to wait before you sign up. I get loads of work set by teachers and wouldn’t have the time (or need) to do extra via a paid platform regularly.

Mmm, I’d likely use Edexcel for physics. I’m currently doing AQA for Maths but it limits me to doing the exam in the U.K. if I’d done Edexcel for maths, I could have taken it abroad in Bangkok which would have made studying for it a lot more enjoyable!!. What I mean by that, is their malls have work and study floors, which offer delicious foods at affordable prices with the benefit of wi-fi and charging, not to mention walking around Bangkok is so much more tranquil for the mind than it is walking around the U.K.!!! Lol

My course is due for renewal on 1st of August. Did you sign up for Uplearn in the end?

Why pay money before trying all the excellent free Maths websites? No-one should need Uplearn with what is free out there.

Have you been set summer prep work for Maths? If not then again there's many examples on the web.

These pay-for resources are a rip-off [Maths teacher]

Hi, I am on the fence at the moment but do you have a list of the websites you would recommend as a maths teacher? Thank you
