Would it be safe to say that this season would be a failure if Arsenal don’t win the Premier League (or Champions League). Man City have had De Bruyne and Haaland out for a large portion of the season and haven’t been on top form compared to previous seasons. Liverpool have had so many injuries that they have been forced to play players out of position and rely on young academy players to contribute. I have never seen a team compete for the title with so many injuries like Liverpool have.

This is the perfect time for Arsenal to win the league and build on from that next season.
We all know that arsenal won't be winning the league title except when they will sit down to Manchester city when they play them shortly...... Manchester city looks like they'll win it again depending on how Liverpool plays over the coming weeks ( rs against city this weekend).
Liverpool's young players has been doing a wonderful job and credit goes to klopp for playing them.

You're not going to win a league title against a Pep Guardiola Man City side with just 84 points..
I know, but I don't think Liverpool or City will hit 90 either. Title is Liverpool's to lose..

If Liverpool were to win it, easily the least impressive title side in terms of quality or style since perhaps Utd 2013.
Credit to Klopp big time

My estimate is around 82 points. I think that's 3rd.

No worries, we're winning the CL anyway. Nketiah to score the winner in the final (shot going wide deflected in off Rudiger's shin).
if nketiah gets the winner for Arsenal in the champions league I'll reevaluate my life.

More likely that you get knocked out in the R16 as its in your DNA.

If Liverpool had Man City/Arsenal levels of injuries, I'd say we had a good chance. But we've been decimated for so long that it's going to catch up. I think Man City will batter us at the weekend. We would have a good chance at Anfield if we were full strength or even close to. Instead we're giving lots of minutes to a bunch of 18-20 year olds. Even the senior players we do have, we're having to run them in the red zone and overplay them instead of rotate and keep fresh because we don't have the players.

Considering Liverpool can currently get the highest total of 96 points and we still have 11 rounds to play, I agree that none will break 90 points this season. I think it will be high 80s though (like 87-89 points for the winners).

Man City are going to determine the league title in the next 2 rounds. If they beat both Liverpool and Arsenal then no one is going to catch them.

I have a feeling we'll draw vs City and drop pts at Old Trafford and **** bowl which costs us the title. There's a banana peel in Villa and Brighton somewhere too

Well Arteta's record is also appalling in Europe. But we have a shot. Hand on hard we are probably #3 team in all of Europe at the minute and so it's doable!

Yeah I think other than getting Man City or RM in the CL you guys can beat whoever.

In terms of CL winners I'd go.

1.

RM(no need for explanation even though they really shouldn't watching them play)

2.

City(best team in the world)

3.

Arsenal(by default, if Liverpool were in CL they'd be here too)

4.

Bayern/Inter(they're probably equal in chance, it'll be a bit like Chelsea's 2021 CL or Inter 2010 where they're not clear favourites but with a bit of jam they can win)

5.

PSG/Barca (Both heavy bottlers in europe, Xavi effect along with PSG effect)

6.

Atletico

7.

Dortmund

Think that's a fair list.

ideally Liverpool win vs City because I don't like City's ability to get a run.

Liverpool's injuries will hit them at a point, only so much Klopp's fergie style mentality can turn liverpool into mentality monsters.

Also no way if Fergie was still managing man utd they'd win. Dude would have been cooked in this era, him vs Pep he was constantly being bossed and honestly that United team were lucky to not get Klopps Dortmund or Bayern at the time.

Havertz is every bit a £65m player. He plays that CF role extraordinarily, a facilitator, a press machine and a defensive machine. Never seen him lose his duels. If he played for Klopp's prime Liverpool team in place of Firmino, they would have won even more, he is so good in that role because he has the physical and mental qualities.

(...)

I would never had expected that Havertz get a team and a manager who can make a top player out of him. Nice to see his immense development.

I thought Saka was world-class? What a disaster-class from him.
Also Arteta needs to stop acting up from the cameras. Pep has definitely taught him some weird **** behind closed doors.
Dont think anyone truly believes hes world class just yet at age 21.
We think he will be soon

Yes today was poor but show me 21 year olds who dont drop bad performances now and again, hes been in good form

Overall a great performance and a really really tought tie. Pepe is an all time great of course. We wont have as tactically tough a game no matter who we play from here on in. Hoping to avoid Real/City in the draw and I'd fancy us vs any of the other 5 actually.

Well done Arteta
Definitely expect you to get a tough draw wouldn’t be surprised if you get a Bayern or PSG

PSG would be a dream!
Bayern would be maybe 50/50. Theyve had a poor season but have picked up recently and Tuchel is Tuchel in k/o. The likes of Neuer/Muller are past their peak but mega mega mentality and then Kane, Gnabry, Musiala...

Would love us to get Atleti and bounce them. Still bitter about them ruining Wenger's swansong in 2018

He’s 22, and yeah in the future he could be, but the talk from Arsenal fans online (not you) is that he’s world-class. He’s not near the level of a Salah or a Vinicius Jr yet.
Nketiah is terrible and didn’t even take a penalty.
Now is the proper stage of the Champions League. Only top teams left - Man City, Real Madrid and Inter Milan are the 3 best teams in the competition. Bayern and PSG have the 2 best players in the world in their teams.
I’d love to see Arsenal draw Bayern and try and get revenge for the last time they were in the Champions League and got humiliated by them. Would also be fun to see the Kane angle.
I think theres an element of trolling as well. And Arsenal fans are super invested in Saka but pretending hes "there" is silly when he clearly is a work in progress if he will go to the very top.

Neuer/Muller/Kane look as if they love every minute of k/o football tbh. Mega mentalities here and of course Kane scores if we play.

Yeah I don’t try and take the AFTV lot too seriously. Arsenal’s closest player to world-class is Saliba and then Odegaard. Obviously Saka receives the hype because he’s English.
I disagree to be honest. You will win the Premier League but for some reason Arsenal don’t have “it” in the Champions League. Porto are a difficult team to break down, but if you’re aiming to win the competition and beat these top teams, you really need to be dispatching teams like Porto comfortably.
Winning away from home in Europe is very difficult, especially for Arsenal.
The biggest game of the season takes place on March 31 so looking forward to that one.

Madrid didn't look comfortable vs Leipzig and they never looked comfortable when Zidan won them back to back either.

It's impossible to maintain top form through a whole season or in Arsenal's case, how well you've been playing for the last 4-6 weeks.

Sometimes the big thing is to do just enough to get the result you need to keep momentum going. No FA cup weekend for Arsenal and then the international break so Arteta can now focus on the Man City game at the Etihad.

I imagine Arsenal expected to progress past Porto more easily but the clubs that play Champions League football every season do have some ingrained knowledge of how to make these games hard.

Well done to Arsenal for finally making it past the R16 of the CL since the 2009/10 season!

The QF final draw will be super interesting as it could make or break Arsenal's season. You want to win everything but playing PL games and big CL games at the same time when everything feels must win is hard.

I still think the CL draws are fixed so I'm expecting Arsenal vs Man City in the QF as that would hurt the English clubs co-efficient. Others don't want English clubs to have 5 CL spots next season..
