I did 4 years at a uni. Due to unfortunate circumstances I failed year 3 three times. I passed year 1. This means. I did 4 years at a previous uni.
The new course I am looking to apply to is a 4 year course. How many years of funding can I get?
Thank you

Hi there,

Can you confirm the university and course you're looking to study? Can you confirm if this will be part time or full time course? Was your previous study full time or part time?

Thanks,
Claire

Hi there,

It will take time for us to respond at this time, as we're very busy at this time of year. Please reframe from posting duplicate comments asking the same thing.

Every student is entitled to funding for the length of their course plus one additional year, minus any previous study. This means the calculation would be 4+1=5-4=1 years left of finance given in the final year of your new course.

Based on what you have advised, for years 1-3 you should be eligible for Maintenance Loan and Supplementary Grants (if applicable). You wouldn't be eligible for Tuition Fees based on your previous study till the last year.

Thanks,
Claire

Hi there, if its a full time course and you haven't gained a qualification then your maintenance loan wouldn't be impacted by your previous study. Thanks, Jason
