How does the process of giving out offers by unis actually work?

I want to make sure they see that I am eligible for a contextual offer, but how do I know they will see it? Do they check everyone's postcodes and/ or backgrounds thoroughly?

There are certain indicators that make you eligible e.g. you have free school meals, are in a certain post code, performance of your school. These give unis an idea of your background and give you an offer based off of this. On the UCAS form you will put all of this info down.

Every university has different contextual criteria. If you meet it then it is picked up from information on your ucas form.
