An offer just came through!!! By text first, then I checked my Ministry of Justice application centre status and it was there!

Then an email came through!

Now, pre-employment checks... It is always a bit of a faff but needs to be done.

Which doesn't provide me with confidence as it doesn't say "will let you know the next stage of recruitment" oh well 🤷

I’m coming to the end of my BTC so just wondering what happens with start date but I suppose they will let me know - I did tell them in the interview 😊 well done to everyone else!

Guys, I just started the Pre-appointment checks and there is a question saying: Is a professional registration required for this role?

Well, if this is an equivalent of a training contract, it should be registered with the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

Does anyone know? How should I answer this one?

I have received an offer pending employment check from midlands region, my residence leave expires in coming january however it would be renewed. how can i relay this information to vetting team? any advice? would this be a problem or its fine as it is. Thank you.

Your right to work must be continuous and not time-dependent. If you possess documents that guarantee a 100% renewal of your residence permit, you may supply them in the so-called Additional Information section in the Pre-Appointment Checks. You have a limit of 255 characters (not words!), so not much space for a longer explanation. However, you are given the option to attach two documents and you can merge a few pdf files thus representing a single file, if this is what you have to do (be careful not to go over the allowed limit). After you have submitted your checks form online, the vetting team may reach out to you for further clarification, if necessary. They will probably do this by email/phone and you can then provide further information.

Thanks a lot Johnny . I have submitted my wife’s university letter showing she is finishing course this month. Which should allow automatic 2 years psw visa extension.

I have provided her letter and brp in additional information . I hope this is enough for vetting team . I can’t wait and thanks for your advice . Hopefully it works out. If I can do anything else to make this issue clear kindly let me know. Congratulations to everyone that received and offer and those who didn’t . I’m sure you guys will get plenty better opportunities.
