May I ask what's the topic of the interview? Something you prepared? Thanks!!

Do you want to drop your ig? It'll probably be easier to explain.

Wow...how was the interview? Was it really tough? I am still planning and collecting documents to apply HKU. And asking in advance for interview location if I am fortunate enough to get into the interview stage.

Btw, when did you apply? Thank u so much and really glad that I have found someone who did HKU interview recently.

1.

No it wasn't, and all it tests you are your logical thinking, your daily knowledge and how you speak. At first, I was so stressed but afterwards found that no medical knowledge, except for the 4 medical pillars of ethics are needed in any of the questions. For me, I didn't even include anything related to medicine in my answers. However, you will need a high standard understanding of HKU course uniqueness, like enrichment year and PBL course, and how you are able to utilise them.

Just to say first part was individual, 4 minutes English and 4 minutes Chinese (interviewer will ask you either Mandarin or Cantonese), questions can include pictures, HK news (only ask you about opinion, but also best to gain a certain level of understanding by watching recent news daily), and some chill topics.
second part was group interview, then a topic, usually and social, but not scenario, and 4 of you all discuss on top of it. Not hard at all! But only make sure you are confident enough as I was stressed at that time, and thinking back to it, it was totally unnecessary.

First round, so before 15th November.

Thanks! May I know in which question they give u chances to elaborate ur understanding in their curriculum’s uniqueness? Last year I think I did the same interview, 1 eng 1 chi individual q and 1 group discussion, I didn’t remember in any questions or circumstances I did mention about the curriculum… is there any change in the interview questions this year?

Does anyone know if CU will be sending out more offers? Or they have already sent out all of them?

Not sure, I received mine around 5-6pm Hong Kong time yesterday. But it’s email just says conditional offer, doesn’t say the condition.

No, it is the same as last year. I don't think they are too bothered about why you want to go to HKU, mainly just the way your brain works.

Oh. I believe that for my school at least, everyone has gotten it. They might be doing school by school but I'm not sure. I did see on their website that they send out advance offers before mid-January though so until they keep your fingers crossed I guess. Also, you can try calling them up. I did the same before they sent out offers and they were really helpful.

I still haven't heard back yet too, and also had my interview on the 21st of December. I think for last year all the offers are sent out on the same day 😕 I mean either they actually send it lately or we drop into the lottery for the normal round, and facing a greater competition...

May we know the statistics of your peer? All of them in first round of CUHK got offers? Thanks for your sharing.
