Congrats! Are you switching over to HKU?

Probably not as I already settled in CUHK, and I don’t believe that HKU is that much better than CUHK. Can anyone give me advice please?

Thank you but now I’m thinking of staying in CUHK as this arrangement by HKU is actually stressing me out.

Don’t be. You can reapply next year and I’m sure you will get in eventually

If I were in your position, I would choose to stay at CUHK. They recognized your suitability from the beginning and offered you a place. I have a question for you: Does CUHK accept more IB students than A-Level students for the Non-Jupas admissions?

Definitely IB is the majority, there is only about 10 A-level student each year.

But in terms of teaching, reputation and prospect. Will CUHK be in a disadvantage?
Hi, a local IB student here with a predicted 43 (6s in Chinese LL and English LL). Are these scores good enough for med at both unis, and what are the chances that I will get a conditional offer if all goes well? Thx

Actually, both medical schools are very good; it's just that one of them has a learning style that suits you better. HKU accepts a higher proportion of non-japus students each year compared to CUHK, making it easier for IB students to adapt. However, since you are in A-Level, I think the difference won't be too significant.
CUHK took more than 70% Jupas. I heard that CUHK had accepted some DSE students who only score 36 (I though minimum need to be score 40 and above). It seems they like to play in a small circle.
is it possible to get a offer with 43 pg?
Hi everyone I was wondering does anyone know how detailed should my CV be for CUHK and HKU? I am applying under the non-Jupas stream and I can’t seem to find any instructions except for what to put in on the uni websites? Thank you very much.

As I know for last year, acceptance rate of IB is higher than A-Level and this is one of the reasons why they raised up the requirement from 3A*1A to 4A* this year. My friend got 4A* without CO last year also can’t get in HKU but was accepted by CU.

Hi Peter, are you now studying in HKU or CUHK medicine?
