Just keep calm and remember they only want to have fun so if you can make lessons more engaging in any way then go for it. Don’t worry you will become more experienced and find it very easy once you have finished teacher training.

Focus on making a clear, cohesive lesson. Don’t worry about behaviour or anything like that. Make sure you have a solid lesson as they want to see you have the potential. You’re not the finished product and there will be a teacher in there to support you.

I would make sure there is a simple starter which is related to the topic and has some of the prerequisite skills needed. (If needed, the might want you to just get on with it as your only have 20 mins).

Then prepare a teaching episode where you model how to do it. If you’re feeling nervous about that bit put animations on if you’re using PowerPoint and you can just talk through it.

Students then complete a question which is similar to what you have done, a ‘we do’ to check for understanding before progressing. You can question students or use whiteboards to do this.

Then make sure there is some questions for them to practice the topic.

Hopefully that helps.
