starting HNC healthcare practice

i recently lost my place on my nursing course, ans am now going to study a HNC at college, i have not done anything at college since i was 15 (now 21) and am totally lost as to what supplies i need, what the course will be made up of and generally how to survive being a college student

I didn't do an entry exam; I was accepted without an interview I think based on my previous study, I'm also not sure if the entry exam is a thing in Scotland where I'm based because none of my classmates did one
