Finally 😅 gosh the amount of effort you had to go through. Did you count 25 days from the day you received the email stating that you completed the form? Or was it earlier?

Also let us know when you hear back from a start date, it would be nice to know how long it takes.

I counted 25 days from when my PEC commenced so when they added me to that UCheck system for my DBS. I completed and sent off my onboarding 24/8 and checks started 05/09.

I got the call and my start date is 6th nov however the original location i applied to which was North London Hendon is full, they said there are no desks available 🥲🥲 so they have put me somewhere way further away from where i live like a 1.5hour journey. Training is not hybrid all in the office, no hybrid working at all, in the office everyday. I have to work a saturday once a month on a rota basis but will have a weekday off.

Hi CeeCee05, congratulations on completing the pre-employment checks. Are you saying that you were given a provisional offer for Hendon and then this was retracted?

I am a little worried now as I have a provisional offer for Hendon and currently undergoing pre-employment checks!

Yes i received a provisional offer in writing for Hendon and that was my chosen location however when I received the call to discuss my start date I was told that all the desks in Hendon is full so I will be placed in a different location in North London. Its really confusing as my offer letter/contract states I will be in Hendon.

Oh my, that must have been upsetting. In my case, I won’t be able to proceed with my application if there is no availability for the location listed in my provisional offer (Hendon). Do you mind if I ask where you have been relocated to? This whole process doesn’t seem very fair on applicants.

It is great you got a start date, sorry to hear you didn't get your first choice. Wait did they just tell you that or you knew from your provisional offer because it's actually ridiculous if they told you over the phone about working at a new location as they happened to run out of desks (like its not something they could've figurired out earlier)? 🙃

They are really strict with the hybrid thing though. I'm sure once you settled and pass probation, you can ask for that. It does say on the job description flexible working at discretion.

Did you get a confirmation on the shift hours, 9-5 I assume or 8-4?

Just wait until you pass your checks and you speak to someone because this may not be the case for everyone. They relocated me to North London Business park i think thats in south barnet but when i meet my line manager I will try and get some further clarification and see if I could stay in my chosen location which is Hendon

So they’ve clarified why even though I have received an offer for my first choice which is hendon but have now been moved to a different location is because that location is also classed as “hendon” to them. However the new office I now have to work in is no where near hendon it is much further. They have classed this building as hendons ‘sister building’.. so it is essentially the same team/management but split into two buildings. I wish they made this much clearer on the job advert/application as it misleads people thinking we will actually be working in the Hendon JCP but if that office is full we will be placed in its ‘sister building’ in south barnet. Oh well i guess i dont have a choice at the moment😅

what sort of outcome this status change to "Thank you for completing your pre-recorded video interview. You should hear from us soon with regards to the outcome." means? Offer, No offer, Waiting list of any those?

Your current status, "Thank you for completing your pre-recorded video interview. You should hear from us soon with regards to the outcome." may remain for 2 to 6 weeks.

If your status changes once again to the following:

"Thank you very much for completing the interview. Your application is being reviewed."

You will most likely receive an offer of employment or a Reserve list. This has been how my portal messages changed for all the job offers I have received.
