Missed medicine offer

Hi I missed my medicine offer. I had extenuating circumstances but to even meet that ‘one grade below requirement’ I am 2 marks off. I’m devastated heartbroken in disbelief. This was meant to be the time I was excited and going to uni.
Do remarks ever go up?
I feel lost
Please advise

My daughter was two marks off the next grade boundary for two of her subjects. Our college has emailed us and advised us to pay for a re-mark. There’s no guarantee of course but they said they’ve had some marks increase by ten last year! Apparently if they go up you don’t have to pay. And of course the mark could change in either direction! I would speak to
your college and see what they advise, they will also suggest which paper of the three might be the best one to get checked. Good luck 🤞

Get your school/college to arrange a "Priority Review of Marking" as soon as possible, and let your uni that you've done so (as they ought to hold your place pending that outcome). And yes, marks do sometimes go up.

Be aware that marks can also go down. So if you request reviews on several papers, some might go up and some might go down - leaving you no better off. Ask your school / college for advise as to which papers you have a better change of a mark increase in. (They may have immediate access to your exam papers, depending on the exam board, or they may have to use the Access to Scripts service.)

Good luck!

I've no idea. I was responding to the post from Mickjagger (aka username6340569) and wishing them good luck. That user now appears to be inactive, so we may never know what happened.
